Position: Record Label Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: Shoreditch, London (In-office)
A mid-sized indie record label is seeking a Junior Record Label Assistant to join our team. This is a part-time position, requiring 1 to 2 days per week. The role is flexible and may suit someone who:
- Has graduated from a music business course and is looking for their first real-world work experience.
- Is starting out in the industry.
- Is returning to the industry after a break.
The pay is dependent on experience but is above minimum wage. We anticipate that you would take on this role alongside your main job or other responsibilities.
Role Overview
You will be involved in various aspects of the record business, including signing, promoting, and releasing music. The day-to-day tasks will be diverse, and may include:
- Managing artwork and tracklists
- Communicating with artists
- Working on social media campaigns
- Online store administration and post runs
- Handling PPL/PRS administration
- Catalog operations
- Sorting audio files
- Preparing label copy and blurbs
- Assisting with A&R and remixes
- Engaging in creative thinking and much more
